Zudy’s Cafe is Open!
After a years of cooking experience and a spring season of construction and preparation, Judy Odhner has opened her new Cafe in the old historic Railroad building near the Alaska SeaLife Center in downtown Seward.
Judy has long been a favorite caterer in Seward and Moose Pass and her cakes and cheesecakes have been a favorite treat at parties and non-profit events. She and her husband, Jan, are realizing their dream of opening a restaurant in the area. And now residents and visitors alike can find a seat in the restored building and enjoy a coffee break or a meal overlooking beautiful Resurrection Bay. The menu will feature breakfast items, sandwiches, paninis, and Judy’s famous desserts. The espresso machine will be making your favorite coffee drinks all day.
Zudy’s will be home to rotating works by local artists. The Cafe opened with works by Seward High School Senior Veronica Wilde and the ceramic mugs, plates, and soup bowls she made will be a constant feature for the diners.
